Force Field analysis encourages identification of the systemic forces that drive and restrain improvement. Once identified the restraining forces can be addressed to accelerate improvement. This example was prepared by Michael King at a NSW high school. At the end of one lesson the class of year 9 students were asked to individually list the forces driving and restraining thier learning in mathematics. These were collated before the second lesson at the end of which students were asked to use the NGT tool to prioritise the driving and restraining forces. This spreadsheet presents the results.
