Addressing Specific Problems

We have helped schools address specific school problems while increasing capacity in the use of the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) improvement cycle.

Improvement teams comprising school leaders, teachers and students have been using the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Cycle to great effect. Together they analyse the situation, collect data, plan and deliver improvements.

Emphasis is given to delivering demonstrable improvement, engaging key stakeholders and using data to better inform and track progress.

We have facilitated improvement teams with challenges as diverse as:

  • student work ethic
  • the Mathematics program
  • leadership planning and focus
  • school communication
  • consultation and participative decision making.

Through this process, we not only help the school to make things better, but we build capacity for ongoing improvement of the school and classrooms.

This support is:

  • Based on specific school needs
  • Structured, building capacities for ongoing application in other areas
  • Inclusive, building ownership of the improvements achieved.
