Jane Kovacs

Jane is a graduate Scientist holding Masters Degrees in both Engineering in Quality Management, and Leadership and Organisation Dynamics.

She has spent much of her working life in hospitals and Local Government organisations in various operational and leadership roles. Her experience has been gained in a wide range of disciplines including; health inspection and education services, personnel, human resources, facilitation and training, strategic planning, and project management.

It was during her time in Local Government that Jane was first introduced to the Principles and practices of quality improvement, and directly experienced the many benefits it brings in improving the quality of work life and client and stakeholder satisfaction.

Jane was employed for four years as a Project Director by Business Excellence Australia (previously the Australian Quality Council) where her work was primarily focussed on the design and delivery of the Quality in Schools and Excellence in Local Government programs. In this role, Jane worked with school leaders, administrators and teachers from over 300 primary, secondary and special schools, to assist with building the capacity to continuously improve school management processes and classroom learning with students. Her work also involved the training, facilitation and coaching of personnel in continuous improvement from all levels of both private and public sector organisations.

Jane lives in Melbourne and joined Quality Learning Australia in February 2003. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration at Swinburne University.
